Soccer club FC Barcelona has anointed CPLG as its master licensee for the MENA region.

Barca Licensing and Merchandising manage FC Barcelona's merchandising rights. On behalf of the rights owner, CPLG will develop a licensing program for the club that includes deals for non-performance apparel; equipment, such as bags, balls and accessories; back-to-school and stationery ranges; toys; novelty gifts; food and beverages; watches; health and beauty products, and homewares.

In addition to the deal, CPLG has expanded its own team in the MENA region, with the addition of new licensing manager, Roberto Pallottini. He will report to Neesha Law, commercial director, MENA, CPLG.

“We are delighted to welcome Roberto to the CPLG MENA team,” says Neesha Law, commercial manager, MENA, CPLG. “His passion and enthusiasm for our properties, together with his experience within the key softlines categories makes him a fantastic addition as we expand our portfolio and footprint in the territory.”

FC Barcelona has a history of licensing deals across various verticals. The sports team has previously inked deals for themed amusement parks, keyboard and video games.
