That will see the launch of a summer camp experience and sponsorship deal for The Wiggles 30th anniversary tour next year.
Beginning the week of July 14, The Wiggles will be partnering with Rascal + Friends to present a two-week virtual summer camp for toddlers and their parents called “Virtual Summer Camp with The Wiggles and Rascal + Friends.” The program will be hosted by Emma Wiggle and Captain Feathersword. It includes arts, crafts, singing, dancing and prizes aimed at keeping kids engaged while at home.
"The Wiggles have been trying to provide as much entertaining and educational content for families as possible throughout this pandemic,” says Emma Watkins, the yellow Wiggle. “We are extremely excited to reimagine the summer camp experience with a virtual twist alongside our new partner Rascal + Friends.”
The virtual summer camp
will take place live for 20-minute sessions July 14, 16, 21 and 23 from
Facebook pages. After airing live, all the virtual summer camp sessions will also be available on both brand’s Facebook pages for the duration of summer.
“We know our community of little rascals across North America are big fans of The Wiggles, so it’s been our pleasure to help make this virtual experience a reality for families,” says Amelia Watson, global marketing manager, Rascal + Friends.
Along with the upcoming virtual summer camps, plans are currently underway for a 2021 tour to celebrate The Wiggles 30th anniversary. The Wiggles have welcomed Rascal + Friends as a tour sponsor for next year. Details for the sponsorship program are still in development but will include on premise presence at select venues for Rascal + Friends in both the U.S. and Canada. The sponsorship and tour comes after The Wiggles had to cancel their 2020 shows due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
