Original X Productions (OGX) has announced it has appointed Kelly Easterling vice president, production and operations. Easterling will spearhead production design and operations management, bringing his expertise for guiding design production and strategic planning across a diverse spectrum of location-based experience properties.

Easterling is taking on a pivotal role as he continues OGX’s vision of developing memorable IP-driven entertainment. He will focus on bringing to life narratives for brands, utilizing innovative design techniques to create immersive and profitable experiences that will captivate audiences.

“Kelly’s exceptional skills in design, production and storytelling will be an invaluable asset to Original X Productions,” says Stacy Moscatelli, chief executive officer, Original X Productions. “As we prepare to announce and launch new experiences, Kelly’s experience in developing and operating major IP-based attractions worldwide will help elevate our work to new heights.”

Before joining the OGX team, Easterling served as chief executive officer, Quantum Creative Studios, a creative design and production firm in the themed entertainment and museum industries. His previous work can be seen at VinWonders in Phú Quốc, Vietnam, where he produced and directed “Once: An Enchanted Storybook Spectacular,” multiple interactive attractions for Lionsgate Entertainment World in Zhuhai, China and Princess Cruises, where he designed effects and show lighting for the new musical, “The Secret Silk.” Easterling also worked on the design team for the Universal Studios Orlando attraction, Race Through New York with Jimmy Fallon, the Smithsonian Institute’s National Museum of African American History and Culture and the Barack Obama Presidential Center. Among his many projects, Easterling directed the nighttime spectacular, Forever Cunard, from the historic Queen Mary 2 that illuminated New York Harbor and lower Manhattan and numerous nighttime spectaculars for Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America and American Dream Mall.
