LIMA to Fete Latin America Day of Licensing in Lima, Peru

The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers' Association (LIMA) is jetting off to Lima, Peru to celebrate the third annual Latin America Day of Licensing.

The event aims to recognize new opportunities for companies already operating in Latin America, as well as for those looking to enter this growing market.

The one-day conference and exhibition will offer a roster of discussions on topics, such as consumer trends, promotional opportunities, e-commerce and building a brand in the LATAM region. The conference and exhibition is set to take place Nov. 8 at Hotel Atton San Isidro in Lima, Peru.

"Latin America is the fourth largest region for global retail sales of licensed merchandise
and the fastest-growing licensing market in the world, according to the 2018 LIMA Global Licensing Study," says Marty Brochstein, senior vice president, industry relations, International Licensing Industry Merchandisers' Association. "LIMA's Latin America Day of Licensing gives licensors, licensees, agents and retailers the chance to get on the ground and gather the connections and insights they need to grow their business in this hot market."

Participating companies include Gallina Pintadita, Importadora Bohorquez, Lotus Global Marketing, Mafalda, Mattel, Mercico + Promostock, Mundo Comic, National Geographic, Precious Moments, Sesamo Workshop, Tycoon Enterprises and Zombies Infection.

Planned information sessions include, "How to Build Your Brand and Drive Profit Through Licensing" with Sesamo Workshop and "The Value of Brand Experience" with brand strategy consultants Kantar Millward Brown, as well as an Eat & Learn lunch and tabletop exhibits from leading agents and brands.
