Small Gift Miami kicked off in celebration of Sanrio's 50th anniversary, featuring an art exhibition and pop-up shop with limited-edition merchandise.

The event in the Wynwood Arts District encompassed 8,000 square feet, including a retail location with Sanrio 50th anniversary items and Small Gift collectibles, one-of-a-kind works for sale from 50 artists, 35-foot wall installations created by artists Crash, Pose and Anthony Lister, free tattoos from Charlie Roberts and Grant Cobb of L.A.-based Spotlight Tattoos and a sweets shop. Small Gift visited Santa Monica, Calif., last month.

Guests included Kunihiko Tsuji, Sanrio's chairman; Ray Hatoyama, Sanrio's chief operating officer (pictured); Janet Hsu, Sanrio's president (pictured); actress Isabella Rosselini; and artist Shephard Fairey.
