Care Bears Owner, Cloudco, Sold to IVEST Consumer Partners

Entertainment, owner of heritage and newer intellectual properties, including The

Care Bears

, Holly Hobbie, Tinpo, Buddy Thunderstruck, Madballs, Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese, has been acquired by IVEST Consumer Partners, a private equity fund that specializes in consumer products, licensing and retail companies. 

Terms of the acquisition are reported to be $100 million.  

Current properties in the IVEST portfolio include collectible manufacturer, Entertainment Earth, U.K.-based licensing company, Paladone, and plush manufacturer, DanDee. 

Intrepid served as the financial advisor to Cloudco Entertainment. 

Formerly the American Greetings Company, Cloudco capitalizes on more than 40 years of IP history. After American Greetings was sold to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice in 2018, Cloudco Entertainment was spun off and renamed to focus on its iconic IP.
