Kith Teams Up with Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation

Kith has announced its official partnership with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation – the New Balance 998 Broadacre City, a silhouette celebrating its 35th anniversary and Wright’s architectural sketches.

The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, named after the architect, aims to inspire discovery and an appreciation for architecture for better living through meaningful connections to nature, the arts and each other. The Foundation is headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., at Taliesin West, Wright’s last winter home and studio.  

“What I love about Wright’s work is the connection with nature – whether it's abstractions of natural forms in his stained glass, his use of natural materials, the seamless flow from inside to outside and the inspiration of the landscape in Wright’s forms,” says Stuart Graff, president and chief executive officer, Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. “As the head of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, I’m humbled to take something that has inspired me for most of my life, and use it to inspire others to design, build and live better – through harmony with the world around us.” 

The Ronnie Fieg x Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation x New Balance 998 Broadacre City features a mesh upper, alongside pigskin suede and hairy suede overlay panels, adding a varied sense of texture to the design. The model is offered in two colorways, highlighting creamy white alongside earthy brick red, warm apricot and olive green – hues pulled from the architectural sketches and models of Wright’s futuristic city concept, Broadacre City.

The capsule will be rolled out in three launches. The first launch was held exclusively in-store at Kith Tokyo on April 14. The second release is the following day and will be hosted by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation exclusively at Taliesin West. Any remaining units will be available to purchase at the Frank Lloyd Wright Store at Taliesin West. The third and final release will take place via a drawing on the Kith App.
