Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant has announced a new partnership with Caulipower for a new tortilla option at its restaurants.
The two companies are teaming up to offer Mexican dishes at Abuelo's made with Caulipower cauliflower tortillas.
"Healthy eating used to mean depriving yourself of certain foods, but people are taking a more sophisticated approach to nutrition now and focusing on fueling their bodies with the right ingredients," says Bob Lin, president, Abuelo’s. "That's why we're so excited to work with Caulipower to offer Abuelo's guests a delicious new superfood alternative."
Abuelo’s locations nationwide will now offer two new enchilada dishes featuring the Caulipower cauliflower tortillas. Any enchiladas or fajitas dish can be upgraded to the cauliflower tortilla for $2.
Other restaurants are also hopping on the food trend train. From vegan to gluten-free and more, restaurants like Hooters and On The Border have opted to offer different options of their classic recipes to appeal to more diners.
"Abuelo's and Caulipower both offer innovative alternatives to people who want to eat healthier while still enjoying their favorite foods, which makes our partnership a great fit," says Julie Lim, executive vice president, food service, Caulipower. "We're thrilled to partner with Abuelo's to deliver a tastier healthy alternative to traditional tortillas at Abuelo's locations nationwide."
