Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards, March 12, honored multiple licensed brands.

Licensed brands that won awards include “The Muppets” for Favorite Family TV Show, “SpongeBob SquarePants” for Favorite Cartoon, Star Wars: The Force Awakens for Favorite Movie, Hotel Transylvania 2 for Favorite Animated Movie, Diary of a Wimpy Kid for Favorite Book and “Just Dance 2016” for Favorite Video Game.

The show also featured licensed brands outside of the awards segments during interstitials and skits.

A new feature of the 2016 awards was an interactive experience hosted via Nick’s digital platforms such as social media, apps and its website, that enabled kids to choose what happened during the live show through voting. Nick’s digital platforms also offered games and exclusive real-time updates with photos from the show.
