Licensing agency Bradford License India is one of many businesses affected by the pandemic, and the company is making the necessary changes to keep its business, and the licensing industry as a whole, running.
“Licensing agents like us, who followed a meeting process, physically checking factories and products, have a lot to adjust to,” says Shipra Dubey, general manager, brand licensing, Bradford License India. “So far, the entire country [of India] is in a state of lockdown, and the entire Bradford License India team is working from home. In order to keep it positive and keep the momentum going, I have structured the day for the team.”
Dubey starts her
day with her team with a call at 9:30 a.m., in which each team member lists his or her tasks for the day. The team also uses a WhatsApp group to discuss and update each other throughout the day.In order to keep licensees and brands connected, at least one client call happens per day, in which Bradford, the licensee and the licensor are all present. The team is utilizing this extra time for prospecting. Even if a deal may look like it will come months down the line, the team continues communicating to keep a good pipeline in hand.
No one is quite sure when the dust will settle for this global pandemic, but with these measures, Dubey’s goal is to keep herself and her team energized through it all.
