Nick Jr has secured U.S. broadcast syndication rights for the preschool series "Pocoyo," which is broadcast in more than 100 territories worldwide. The CGI show is expect to debut this spring.

"Pocoyo" is co-produced by Zinkia and ITV Studios Global Entertainment. TV rights are distributed internationally by ITV, excluding Spain, Portugal, Italy and Latin America—all of which are handled by Zinkia. Bandai America holds the master toy rights in the U.S. and Canada.

"We look forward to the multi-award winning preschool series making its debut on Nick Jr. and we look forward to launching an extensive new line of consumer products inspired by the show later in 2010," says Tor Sirset, vice president of marketing for the girls and preschool business unit at Bandai America. "Kids connect with this property because it's packed with strong visuals, color and humor."
