Eastpak and Van Gogh Museum have announced a collaboration to commemorate the Amsterdam museum’s 50th anniversary. The collection will feature some Eastpak packs, luggage and accessories, reimagined via three prints inspired by Vincent’s “Sunflowers,” “Almond Blossom” and “Self-portrait with Straw Hat.” Licensing Link brokered the Eastpak x Van Gogh Museum collaboration.

Together with the functional design elements from Eastpak, each creation in the Eastpak x Van Gogh Museum collection comes embellished with other details, such as an embroidered replica signature and special lining depicting excerpts from the artist’s letters.

“We are very pleased with the collaboration between Eastpak and Van Gogh Museum,” says Marijn Veraart, head, global licensing, Van Gogh Museum. “The collection perfectly matches Vincent's work being interpreted by a legendary brand like Eastpak. This collaboration has resulted in a unique collection, which allows us to show our audience how relevant the work of Vincent still is nowadays.”

“We are thrilled to announce the collaboration between Eastpak and our client, the Van Gogh Museum,” says Chris Taday, co-founder, director, Licensing Link Europe Limited. “The partnership combines the innovative design associated with Eastpak with the timeless beauty of Van Gogh’s art. Thus creating this fabulous collection that celebrates the creativity and individuality of both brands.”

The range pre-launches May 27 at the Van Gogh Museum and will be available internationally from June 5 to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the museum.
