'Worms' Gets New Game, Licensees

Team 17 has announced that the next installment of its “Worms” video game franchise, “Worms Revolution,” will be available Wednesday for Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation3 Network and PC Steam.

AT New Media, licensing agent for the brand, has already partnered for a wide range of Worms merchandise including First 4 Figures for figurines, IGS for collectible plush and plush keyrings, Fashion U.K. for apparel, Bioworld for apparel and accessories, and GB Posters.

The new “Worms Revolution” will feature the same 2D worm gameplay from previous games but in a 3D environment.
