Immortals, a global eSports organization, has acquired Brazilian brand MIBR and entered into new agreements with dating app Tinder and gambling platform Betway.

MIBR is known for its eSports “Counter-Strike: Global Offensive” players, including Ricardo “Boltz” Prass, Marcelo “Coldzera” David, Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, Fernando “Fer” Alvarenga, Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip and coach Ricardo “Dead” Sinigaglia.

The team recently relocated to Los Angeles to train and practice at the Immortals campus.

“Brazil is incredibly passionate about eSports, and this acquisition allows us to foster further eSports growth in what we believe is still a relatively untapped market in Brazil and throughout South America,” says Noah Whinston, chief executive officer, Immortals and MIBR. “The MIBR brand creates a direct link to Brazil’s national pride and sports and entertainment culture. We are eager to invest in the Brazilian eSports scene and to create a platform for the region’s amazing professional eSports talent to continue to excel and dominate.”

The deal will also see MIBR join forces with Tinder to bring fans of “Counter-Strike: Global Offensive” together through live and digital campaigns that promote Tinder’s premium subscription services, Tinder Plus and Tinder Gold. Users in select markets who subscribe to either program will get special offers from MIBR including chances to meet the team as they travel the globe, VIP after-parties following tournaments and tentpole events, as well as limited-edition merchandise and video content through the new “Tinder Gold Club.”

“We know that gaming is a passion among many of our users all over the world, and we are excited to be the first dating app to enter the eSports space with Immortals as our partner,” says Levi Nitzberg, director of global business development, Tinder. “Tinder’s global presence and highly engaged user base provides us with a unique platform which, just like eSports, brings millions of people together to connect over shared interests.”

Betway, a founding sponsor will earn a digital logo usage and engagement across specially curated fan experiences digital content and other resources.
