Mind Candy Plans New Moshi Game

Mind Candy has unveiled plans for “Katsuma Unleashed,” the third Moshi Monsters video game to come from its ongoing partnership with Activision Publishing.

Currently in development at the U.K.-based studio Sumo Digital for Nintendo DS and 3DS, the game is planned for release on Oct. 11 in Europe and Nov. 5 in North America.

Mind Candy and Activision previously worked together for the first two games in the series–“Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Zoo,” which topped the U.K. DS charts for a record-breaking 23 consecutive weeks, according to UKIE GFK, and “Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Theme Park.”

In a move away from the previous two titles, the new game will feature a standalone hero character–Katsuma, the franchise’s most popular Moshi Monster.
