In the U.K., Blues Clothing will create an apparel range and Trade Mark Collections is planning a line of bags and accessories; Fashions U.K. is planning a line of both bags and apparel for Europe.
The new collections will feature iconic scenes and images from the hit game app, which just released its second version, and will be targeted to boys ages 7 and older.
“Although the game is aimed quite high, boys as young as 7 are avid fans and will be eager to display runners on their backpacks and accessories. The collections, however, will also cover an older age range and be suitable for both children and adults,” says Gayle Tarrant, partner, Lisle International. “It is without a doubt that certain digital properties offer brand new opportunities for many sectors and existing downloadable games have demonstrated the market’s desire to carry their experienceof a brand beyond just the game in to full product lines. The popularity of ‘Temple Run’ certainly holds similar prospects for many manufacturers.”
