Disney Unveils Infinity 3.0

Disney has revealed details of the newest iteration of its gaming platform, Disney Infinity 3.0, including plans for new Star Wars sets, the addition of Tron characters and new expansion packs.

For the first time the Stars Wars franchise will be available on the toys-to-video gaming platform with three new play sets planned, including two based on Episodes I through III and one that will feature the upcoming film Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

New additions will also include characters from the 2010 film Tron including Sam Flynn and Quorra, sets for the upcoming Disney/Pixar film Inside Out, classic Disney characters such as Mickey, Mulan and Olaf, as well as new Marvel offerings.

The company will also launch several new multi-player Toy Box expansion games that will allow users to play with characters from all iterations of the platform at one time, including the action-adventure game "Toy Box Takeover" and the kart racing game "Toy Box Speedway."

Finally, Disney has lowered the price for the Disney Infinity Starter Pack, which will now sell for $64.99.
