Frogmind has opened an e-commerce site for its game app “Badland,” as it launches the game into licensing with the help of agent 5th Wave Brands.

The new e-store opens today and features a range of branded merchandise. It also serves as the launching pad for a broader product roll out in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Among the products available on the site are apparel, accessories, art and publishing items.

5th Wave Brands is also currently in discussions with sub-agents in key territories to continue to expand the reach of the brand.

“‘Badland’ is the type of game you don’t see very often. The visuals are off-the-charts gorgeous and the gameplay is engaging,” says Khalid Bur, business director, 5th Wave Brands. “It is a beautiful and compelling combination of art and mystery, and because of the uniqueness of the brand and the main character there has already been a great demand for the brand.”

The app, which was released in April, was recently named the No. 1 iPad game of 2013 in Apple’s recent rankings, and also received the Apple design award earlier in the year.
