For the first time, Activision will bring the full console experience of its kids' game and action figure line, Skylanders, to tablets.

Launching day-and-date with the console version on Oct. 5, the "Skylanders Trap Team" tablet starter pack will give fans everything they need to play the newest iteration of the franchise on tablet devices including iPad, Kindle Fire, Google Nexus and Samsung Galaxy.

The tablet starter pack will include a Bluetooth version of the Traptanium Portal and a Bluetooth-enabled controller, as well as two Skylanders characters, two Traps, and a display tray that lets Portal Masters keep track of the Traps they’ve collected and which villains they have trapped. Tablet players will have the choice of two different ways to play, via the controller or with touch controls.

As with the console version of the game, all 175 existing Skylanders toys will be compatible across all platforms.

The new "Skylanders Trap Team" game will introduce more than 50 new playable Skylanders heroes and more than 40 villains in an all-new adventure.

The game will launch in Asia Pacific on Oct. 2 and in the E.U. Oct. 10.
