Toy Association Elects Tim Kilpin to Board of Directors
The Hasbro exec started his new role on Jan. 5.

Tim Kilpin, president of toys, licensing and entertainment, Hasbro, was elected to The Toy Association board of directors and will sit on the organization’s executive committee.
On Jan. 5, Kilpin was voted in unanimously at a board meeting and fills the executive committee position left vacant by Andy Keimach, who transitioned to the role of interim president and chief executive officer of The Toy Association on January 1.
“Tim has been a fixture of the toy and children’s entertainment community for decades, holding executive positions at Mattel, Activision Blizzard, PlayMonster and The Walt Disney Company before joining Hasbro,” says Aaron Muderick, chair of The Toy Association board and founder, executive chairman, Crazy Aaron’s. “He has also been an active participant in The Toy Association for many years, having previously held positions on the board of directors and executive committee. Tim’s deep knowledge of the industry, coupled with his dedication to advancing the toy community and serving the needs of all members, are a welcome addition to the board as we enter a new era for The Toy Association and its membership.”
Kilpin previously served on the board in 2015 and 2018. In 2019, he was elected to the board’s executive committee and served two consecutive two-year terms on the committee before assuming the position of vice-chair. The effective date of his current role on the executive committee was Jan. 5.
In his role at Hasbro, Kilpin oversees the company’s iconic multi-billion-dollar toy business, with a focus on optimizing the value and performance of the company’s strategic franchise brands and IP. He brings more than 30 years of experience as a leader and executive in the toy and children’s entertainment industries to The Toy Association board.
Prior to joining Hasbro, Kilpin served as executive chairman and chief executive officer, PlayMonster Toys. Before that, he led Activision Blizzard’s consumer products business, was chief commercial officer at Mattel and was executive vice president of franchise management at The Walt Disney Company.
The Toy Association Board of Directors is responsible for governance, management oversight, and control of the activities, property, and affairs of The Toy Association, including the strategic direction of the Association, the annual budget, and the scope of the responsibilities of the board and the Association’s many volunteer committees. Nominations are currently open for 2024-2026 seats on The Toy Association board of directors; companies may submit candidates through Friday, Jan. 12, 2024 at 5 p.m. (Eastern).
