Pippi Longstocking’s adventures will soon be available for the Toniebox.

The original Swedish story was first published in Germany in 1949 and has been translated into 77 languages.

"We are very pleased that the descendants of Astrid Lindgren have such great confidence in us and our product, that we are allowed to develop a Pippi figurine and offer the original license," says Markus Langer, chief product officer, Tonies.

The new Tonie features the eleven stories of the first volume read by German actress Josefine Preuß.

The new Tonie is suitable for children ages 4 and up and will be available in stores and online Oct. 14.
