The app, commemorating The Smurfs’ 65th anniversary, includes 10 mini-games.
Sandbox Group and IMPS, the worldwide licensor of The Smurfs, have launched a new educational kids app, "The Smurfs - Educational Games."
The new game celebrates the 65th anniversary of the classic cartoon. Young fans can explore the Smurfs' Village and play 10 different mini-games covering a range of different learning areas. It aims to develop creativity, number recognition, hand-eye coordination, memory and attention skills. The app includes activities such as painting, music, puzzles, numbers and counting, mazes and well-known games like dominoes and word search.
The new collection of mini-games was developed by Edujoy, who specializes in developing educational mobile games. The app is free and is available for iOS and Android devices in Spanish, English, French, Italian and Portuguese.
“We are really proud to have been selected by the Smurfs to bring to life a learning app with their iconic characters to be enjoyed by kids around the world,” says Shan Eisenberg, chief commercial official, Sandbox Group. “Sandbox has extensive experience in leveraging our educational game know-how and in-house gaming studio for top IP brands and we are chuffed about the opportunity to help celebrate such a significant milestone.”
