Roz Nowicki Joins Mattel

The former Peanuts Worldwide executive has joined the toy giant as head, global consumer products and franchise marketing.

Rosalind “Roz” Nowicki has joined Mattel as head, global consumer products and franchise marketing.

Nowicki is a licensing veteran with more than 30 years of experience working with kids’ brands and entertainment properties. She has deep expertise in franchise marketing, licensing and retail development.

During her most recent role leading Peanuts Worldwide, Nowicki was responsible for the overall global business including licensing, promotions, partnerships, location-based entertainment, marketing, brand development, PR, legal, finance and operations. While at Peanuts, she oversaw successful retail programs with Uniqlo, H&M and Inditex, among others, as well as high-profile brand collaborations with Vans, Levi’s and Marc Jacobs. 

Prior to Peanuts, Nowicki served as executive vice president, global sales and retail at 20th Century Fox Consumer Products. In this role, she drove incremental licensing and partnership opportunities for the Fox Film and Television catalog including brands such as “The Simpsons” and “Ice Age.”

Previously, Nowicki spent more than a decade in leadership positions at 4Kids Entertainment, including serving as executive vice president, consumer products, where she was responsible for the worldwide growth of brands including “Yu-Gi-Oh!” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

Earlier in her career, Nowicki held leadership roles at the Walt Disney Company, Universal Studios and Guess? Inc.

In her new role, Nowicki will be reporting to Richard Dickson, president and chief operating officer, Mattel.
