Nuremberg Toy Fair Announces ToyAward Winners

Five winners were announced at the opening show.

At the opening show of the Nuremberg Toy Fair, all five winners of the ToyAwards were announced after 772 products were submitted for consideration.

This year’s winners were selected by a jury of 16, including scientists, educationalists, market researchers, international sales agents, a toy safety expert and a blogger. There were six criteria judges looked for in the selection process: originality, safety, fun factor, potential at retail, accessibility of the play concept as well as workmanship and quality.

Category: Preschool (3-6 years)

Knight’s Castle Ball Track by Gollnest & Kiesel

Category: School Kids (6-10 years)

Balloon Puncher by Silverlit Toys Manufactory

Category: Teenager and Adults (10 years and older)

Mystery House: Adventures in a Box by Cranio Creations

Category: Startup (for companies trading for less than five years)

Calculix Number Bricks by ESM Visions
