Forbidden Planet Models Announced

Polar Lights has announced two new model kits based on the classic science fiction film Forbidden Planet, under a licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products.

The kits are expected to be released this fall, and include an updated Robby the Robot model and a new model of the C-57D, the flying saucer from the film. The Robby the Robot Movie Poster Edition kit includes new parts and a full-color backdrop to allow modelers to re-create the movie poster.

A remake of the 1950s science fiction film is rumored to be in development at New Line Cinema.
