FAO Schwarz Honors Steiff Toys

FAO Schwarz is celebrating its 150th anniversary with an exhibition in honor of one of its longest-running partners, Steiff, whose products have been offered at the toy store for more than 100 years.

“A Gallery of Classic Steiff Collectibles,” on display at the New York City flagship location through September, honors the shared history and longevity of both brands.

“Frederick August Otto Schwarz created his store with a commitment to offering the best toys in the world, and for more than 100 years the superior plush pieces produced by Steiff have been a cherished fixture at FAO Schwarz,” says Lisa Harnisch, senior vice president and general merchandising manager, Toys ‘R’ Us, U.S.

Costumers can buy two commemorative Steiff bears and other products in honor of the FAO Schwarz 150th anniversary during the exhibition.
