Pocket.watch, a kids’ and family creator content and IP company, and Sunlight Entertainment, the Kaji family-owned production studio, are building upon the Ryan’s World Pirate YouTube videos. They plan to expand the Ryan’s World brand with “Ryan’s World Pirate Adventures,” through new mobile game integrations, a new live-action and animated content special, new live-action and animated YouTube episodes and Target-exclusive toys.

“Ryan’s World Pirate Adventures” includes episodes and content specials debuting across Ryan and Friends Plus, an independent kids’ and family SVOD service, the Ryan’s World YouTube channel and HappyKids. In this new live-action and animated special, “Ryan’s World Pirate Adventures Trick-or-Treasure,” available on Ryan and Friends Plus and HappyKids now, Ryan must answer a ghostly pirate’s riddles to get his trick-or-treating costume back. Now through November, new live-action and animated episodes will also debut across the Ryan’s World YouTube channel.

“Kids everywhere have already viewed Ryan’s World Pirate videos over a billion times,” says Amanda Klecker, senior vice president, marketing and franchise, pocket.watch. “We’re thrilled to expand the Ryan’s World franchise to provide kids more of the content they love and allow them to extend the play in their own homes through immersive mobile gaming and new Target-exclusive toys.”

In time for the “Ryan’s World Pirate Adventures Trick-or-Treasure” special, fans can expect the exclusive launch of Ryan’s World Pirate Adventures toys in stores and online at Target. The range includes:

  • A pirate-themed Giant Mystery Egg with seven pirate toys inside, including mystery figures, Cap’n Ryan’s Barrel Boat vehicle, a fidget spinner, putty and three stickers

  • A Micro Treasure Chest with four micro-figures, a vehicle, foam sword, mystery sand, stickers and a Ryan’s World comic strip

  • A Teeny Chest Series 2, including three micro-figures, a spinner and a sticker

In addition to the pirate-themed toys and content, new integrations are available in the “TAG with Ryan” mobile game. Updates include treasures, like a Pirate Adventures welcome screen takeover, a new Cap’N Ryan character, matching costuming for the figures in the pirate products and a new Pirate Ship vehicle, matching the mystery toy inside the Giant Pirate Mystery Egg.

“After seeing the massive success of Ryan’s World Pirate videos on YouTube, we are looking forward to expanding our Pirate World and bringing it to more kids, especially timed to the Halloween season,” says Shion Kaji, chief executive officer, Sunlight Entertainment, and Ryan’s father. “Whether they’re adventuring along through YouTube episodes, the Pirate Adventures special, the toys or the mobile game, there is truly something exciting for every kid.”
