BBC Worldwide U.K. has appointed Golden Bear Toys as the master toy partner for the first-ever range of CBeebies toys.

The toys will launch in fall/winter 2014, with additionally details to be announced soon.

“We are delighted to be partnering with BBC Worldwide on its CBeebies brand,” says Barry Hughes, general manager, Golden Bear Toys. “We have had great success recently with In The Night Garden, Something Special and Woolly & Tig–all popular programs on the channel–so to add CBeebies toys to our 2014 portfolio is a logical and exciting extension. The Bugs are instantly recognizable and loved by preschoolers and we can’t wait to get our toys to market.”

CBeebies, the No. 1 preschool channel in the U.K., already has range of brand extensions including seven international channels, magazines, live events, books, music, apps and the recently announced CBeebies Land themed area at Alton Towers, which will open next year.
