Austrian public broadcaster ORF has picked up Studio 100 Media’s newly re-mastered 3D, CGI series, “Heidi” (39x 22). The agreement gives ORF exclusive FreeTV rights for series in Austria and South Tyrol.

The “Heidi” anime series premiered in 1977 on ZDF in Germany and has since enjoyed continuous TV presence in more than 46 countries. Now, Studio 100 is reviving and modernizing the series, the new version of which will be delivered at the end of 2014.

“Heidi” already has 33 international licenses in categories like consumer electronics, food, home, personal care, stationary, textiles, toys and games.
