SPCP Ignites Explosive ‘Breaking Bad’ Deals
Sony Pictures Consumer Products reveals the licensing program for Netflix’s “El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie.”

Sony Pictures Consumer Products has revealed the robust licensing program for Netflix’s “El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie.”
To coincide with the Oct. 11 release of “El Camino” on Netflix and in select theaters, SPCP has announced the slate of licensees that will support the film’s multi-category licensing program.
To create the first-ever Breaking Bad Experience, SPCP has brought on the team behind nostalgic interactive experiences Saved by the Max, Good Burger and Peach Pit. Breaking Bad Experience will include set recreations from all five seasons of the television show as well as series-inspired menu items. The immersive events kicks off Thursday, Oct. 17 in West Hollywood, Calif. Tickets are available via BreakingBadExperience.com.
“The appetite for ‘Breaking Bad’ merchandise has never wavered, so we hope that ‘El Camino’ will delight die-hard ‘Breaking Bad’ fans and bring a new audience to the franchise as well,” says Jamie Stevens, executive vice president, Sony Pictures Consumer Products. “SPCP has developed an incredible assortment of modern products in collaboration with our all-star licensees, allowing fans to show their love for ‘Breaking Bad’ in various forms.”
Fans can purchase Schraderbräu, a “Breaking Bad”-themed beer based on the mythical homebrew of Walter White’s DEA agent brother-in-law, Hank Schrader. Schraderbräu, a German-style Marzen with 6.2 percent alcohol by volume, will be available at Craftshack.com, select Costco locations in New Mexico and at select California retailers. The beverage was brewed at California’s Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. in Buellton.
K-Swiss has signed on to develop limited-edition footwear in partnership with Foot Locker and limited-edition app “Project Greenhouse.” The first pair, set to launch with the debut of ‘El Camino,’ is inspired by the RV in which characters Walt and Jesse first began their operation. A second line, inspired by the yellow hazmat suits worn in the series, will be released in 2020.
Online retailer Araca has added new merchandise to the official store, available via BreakingBadStore.com. Spencer’s will launch a digital marketing program with a themed email blast and posts across all social media platforms in support of the movie’s release.
FTX will release an update to the “Breaking Bad: Criminal Elements” mobile game that will include movie-specific characters and challenges.
Isaac Morris will release an apparel collection featuring t-shirts, sweatshirts, socks and more.
USAopoly will debut “Breaking Bad”-inspired “Monopoly” and “Trivial Pursuit” board games in early 2020.
More partners will be announced throughout the year.
Starring Aaron Paul and directed by Vince Gilligan, “El Camino” is available now on Netflix and in select theaters nationwide.
