Perth Mint Catches ‘Tom & Jerry’ Anniversary Coin

The coin marks the series’ 80th anniversary.

The Perth Mint has released a commemorative anniversary coin for the animated cartoon series “Tom & Jerry.”

The officially licensed coin marks 80 years since the animated cat and mouse rivals, Tom and Jerry, first aired. The commemorative coin will depict classic imagery of the characters in color. 

Only 2,500 coins are expected to be released as part of th deal. The coin is now available on the Perth Mint website.

The “Tom & Jerry” deal sees the Perth Mint join other recent IP licensees such as Monnalisa. The apparel brand teamed with the animated property for a fashion line early last year.
