HBO Licensing has partnered with Atlus and Cyanide Studios for an action-RPG based on the HBO television series "Game of Thrones" and George R.R. Martin's series of books A Song of Fire and Ice. The game will be available for the Xbox 360 and PS3 early next year.

This is the second game based on the series. The first was a strategy game, "Game of Thrones: Genesis," developed by Cyanide.

"This is a wonderful way for fans to engage with the brand in an exciting and interactive way," says James Costos, vice president of HBO Global Licensing, "Atlus and Cyanide are leaders in developing world class games with broad accessibility so the partnership was an ideal fit for us."
