In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, new partnerships have emerged to bring positivity to the millions of people practicing social distancing. One of those many partnerships is a new one between Hyundai, media brand The Dodo and BYUtv for “The Wizard of Paws.”
“The Wizard of Paws” profiles Derrick Campana as he continues his mission of charitably dedicating his time to crafting custom prosthetics for animals of all sizes from elephants to rabbits.
“The Dodo is the ideal partner in creating such an emotional, inspiring series that puts animals front and center while creating a viewing experience that can be appreciated by all ages,” says Michael Dunn, managing director, BYUtv. “The Dodo has created such a beautiful rapport with Derrick Campana, which has allowed us to capture his commitment to and noble mission of offering struggling animals a new lease on life. We can’t wait for family co-viewing audiences to be as inspired by him and this series as we are.”
Hyundai will exclusively sponsor “The Wizard of Paws” with its three-row SUV Palisade providing the transportation for Derrick as he assists animals in need. This integration is one part of the auto brand’s larger campaign with The Dodo, and the company hopes the series is seen as a positive source of entertainment during these unprecedented times.
“The Dodo is a part of Group Nine, which as a media family, has a lot of brands that really are about prioritizing positivity, creating a community and sharing a lot of heartfelt and inspirational stories,” says Monique Kumpis, senior group manager, brand marketing and advertising, Hyundai. “With everything that’s going on, we feel like people are looking for the kind of entertainment that warms your heart and makes you feel like there are positive things. Positivity is still taking place, and people are good at heart. There’s light at the end of the tunnel.”
The show is currently airing on BYUtv.
