One Animation has entered into a strategic partnership with Chinese conglomerate CMC to create numerous “Oddbods”-themed family entertainment centers in China.

Pearl Studios, which is supported by a CMC-led consortium, brokered the deal.

The agreement will see CMC build 15 “Oddbods” Family Entertainment Centers over eight years.  The first is set to open during Q3 of 2019 in the city of Xian, followed by locations in Chengdu and Shanghai.

The first five centers are set to be created within the next five years with each offering bespoke themed attractions, live character shows, themed restaurants, premiums and retail opportunities.
