One of the largest distributors of animated content in Europe, Mondo TV Group has announced a new partnership with German family entertainment company Toon2Tango.

The new content-driven alliance will see new properties with strong merchandising appeal co-produced and broadcast across Europe, Asia and English-speaking territories. The deal will see Toon2Tango develop eight new shows for the Mondo TV Group in four years, with the potential for more content in the future.

Toon2Tango’s alliance will focus on building cross-media brands with a powerful merchandising appeal and establishing European content distributors in the growing global brand licensing market.

“This is a very important alliance for the Group, helping us to build a stronger presence for Mondo in Northern Europe through a partnership with a notable new force in children’s and family entertainment led by an experienced and highly regarded industry figure,” says Matteo Corradi, managing director, Mondo TV.

Toon2Tango just launched in early July. Hans Ulrich Stoef established the company after he stepped down as chief executive officer of Studio 100 Media and m4e.
