Brandgenuity has announced that they have signed two new licensees for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s globetrotting action-hero Carmen Sandiego.

The licensees, Bioworld and Trevco, will specialize in different lanes of apparel. Bioworld will produce a line of clothes, fashion and accessories. Trevco will produce a Merch-on-Demand program with Amazon.com, including a branded online storefront.

“We are excited to be bringing Carmen into these new categories, which are a natural extension of the brand and that will give fans exactly what they want – more Carmen,” says Allison Lort, vice president business development, Brandgenuity. “Apparel and fashion accessories are exactly what fans are looking for to further engage with this great brand, and now they can wear their favorite brand any way they want it.”

Bioworld and Trevco join other licensees, Goliath Games, Basic Fun, Spirit Halloween and Fun.com. Goliath Games’ Carmen Sandiego board game, as well as the handheld game based on the classic Carmen Sandiego brand from Basic Fun, are now available at Walmart.

Brandgenuity plan to continue to build out the licensing program with toys, back-to-school items, social expression products and more.

“We are absolutely thrilled to continue growing Carmen Sandiego with products that provide fans with additional touchpoints to this beloved brand,” says Caroline Fraser, head, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Productions. “It’s a very exciting time for Carmen Sandiego with the recent launch of season two now available on Netflix, and we’ve got some amazing partners on board. We cannot wait to see these products come to life.”

Season 2 of “Carmen Sandiego” is now streaming on Netflix.
