The National Football League has appointed David Thomson to the role of managing director of NFL Canada.

The National Football League has appointed David Thomson to the role of managing director of NFL Canada.

In his new role, Thomson will be responsible for the NFL’s strategic vision and business operations in Canada, including fan development and engagement, sponsorship, consumer products, licensing and marketing.

Prior to joining the NFL, Thomson worked as vice president of strategic marketing and investments at Coca-Cola Canada. He has also held a variety of senior marketing roles for Molson and Colox in Canada.

“David brings extensive business experience to the NFL with a strong track record of success in the development of brands in Canada,” says Mark Waller, executive vice president, international, NFL. “Canada is a priority market for the NFL and David will enhance our ability to continue to grow internationally.”
