Sports trading card manufacturer The Topps Company has signed a multi-year licensing agreement with the National Football League that will continue the more than 50-year-long relationship between the two organizations.

“Our commitment to creating exciting and innovative product is as strong as ever, and this deal will allow Topps to continue offering collectors the most sought-after football cards in the industry,” says Doug Kruep, vice president and general panager, sports and entertainment, The Topps Company.

The next NFL-branded cards from Topps will be released in conjunction with the start of the 2012 season Sept. 5, featuring the much anticipated Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III rookie cards.

“The Topps Company has been a great teammate for decades,” says Leo Kane, senior vice president of consumer products, NFL. “We look forward to bringing more fans their product and their proven ability to excite adult and kid fans alike.”
