NBA Star Kyrie Irving Does a Double Take with Wheaties

Basketball superstar and Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving and Lionsgate are slam dunking into the cereal aisle with Wheaties.  

The star player will appear on two separate Wheaties boxes. The first will feature Irving in his Celtics uniform and will include his signature. The second box, meanwhile, will showcase Uncle Drew, Irving’s character in the upcoming Lionsgate film of the same name.

Uncle Drew is based on a digital episodic series that was originally developed by PepsiCo. In it, Irving plays a 75-year-old streetball player names Uncle Drew.

The Irving/Uncle Drew limited edition Wheaties box will become available nationwide in late May. Uncle Drew will debut in theatres across the U.S., June 29.
