U.S. retailer Dick’s Sporting Goods has announced plans for a new Field & Stream specialty retail concept, with the first store set to open this fall.

The stores will be inspired by the 140-year-old Field & Stream brand, which Dick’s acquired in September 2012.

The first store, which will be located in Cranberry Township, Pa., will offer an assortment of outdoor equipment, accessories and services for hunters, anglers and outdoorsmen.

"We look forward to opening the Field & Stream store and delivering a high level of service for the passionate outdoorsman," says Joe Schmidt, president and chief operating officer, Dick's Sporting Goods. "Dick's Sporting Goods originally began as a bait and tackle shop, and the Field & Stream store will build upon both brands' heritage to provide an excellent customer experience for outdoor enthusiasts."
