Joshua Sanders and Casetify will help the emoticon brand commemorate the lifestyle retailer’s anniversary campaign.
The Smiley Company will celebrate long-term partner and French retailer Colette’s 20th anniversary with two co-branded items that will join the retailer’s “20 Products for 20 Years” campaign.
First, Smiley has partnered with another long-term partner, Joshua Sanders, to create a limited edition slip-on sneaker and slider. Both skater shoes will feature Smiley’s classic icon with bold boucle patches as eyes as well as a polka dot sole.
The company has also teamed up with Casetify to release a silver glitter phone case featuring a series of Colette- and Smiley-inspired icons alongside the retailer’s logo.
“We are very proud to be part of Colette's 20th anniversary celebration with two exclusive products, shoes from Joshua Sanders and phone cases from Casetify,” says Nicolas Loufrani, chief executive officer, Smiley. “Colette has invented the concept store format and has influenced the creation of concept stores all over the world, but none of them has ever been able to match the original eclecticism is what makes Colette unique. The selection of products operated by her daughter Sarah is not pretentious and is open to all trends, from art to cartoons, absolute luxury to mass confectionery. In that sense, it epitomizes true Parisian chic at its best, relaxed and open to all influences. This is where Smiley belongs.”
Smiley’s contributions to Colette’s “20 Products for 20 Years” campaign will join a host of brands, including Converse, Dr. Martens, Nike, Edward Bess and Komono.
