Authentic Brands Group has announced an expansion of Volcom in partnership with China Ting Group.

Following the partnership, the China Ting Group becomes a partner as Authentic Brands Group furthers its global Volcom brand strategy to interpret and distribute its core product categories in key markets. The China Ting Group is a China-based lifestyle company specializing in retail development and brand building.

“We look forward to building a successful, long-term partnership with Authentic Brands Group,” says Ray Ting, vice president, The China Ting Group. “As America’s first boarding company, Volcom is known throughout the world for innovation and integrity and we’re excited to bring it into the mainstream here in China.”

The announcement comes on the heels of the launch of two new Volcom stores opening in the Mixc Mall, located in Hangzhou’s premium shopping district and in the Sanya Summer Mall in China’s surfing and beach resort capital. The China Ting Group has plans to launch a fleet of twelve additional stores across the region by the end of this year.

“We are bringing Volcom’s board sports lifestyle to China,” says Jarrod Weber, group president, lifestyle and chief brand officer, Authentic Brands Group. “As a brand that is authentically rooted in this culture, Volcom has significant appeal to young consumers around the globe.”

The deal continues to extend the Volcom brand. Earlier this year, Volcom also partnered with pro surfer Coco Ho for a fashion and swimwear collection.
