Animaccord has acquired the rights for seasons 1 and 2 of “Cleo & Cuquin,” which consist of 78 episodes and 30 musical video clips.

As master agent, Animaccord will build a program that encompasses the media rights, licensing of consumer products, advertising and promotional activities, games, apps and media opportunities through YouTube worldwide in several languages including Russian, Ukrainian, Arabic and Polish.

“We are delighted to announce our management of the licensing program for ‘Cleo & Cuquin,’” says Vladimir Gorbulya, chief executive officer, Animaccord Group. “We believe in its success as a company and as individuals. This partnership represents an important step for Animaccord’s business as we showcase our ability to build a similar level of distribution as we have done for our own globally successful IP ‘Masha and the Bear.’ We aim to communicate the strong, positive attributes of the TV series ‘Cleo & Cuquin,' which delivers fun and adventure to kids and families. The series combines important values such as education and friendship. It has a strong musical component, which is critical in the modern preschool world and which clicks perfectly with ‘Masha and The Bear’ concerning target audience and messaging. Overall, we are very excited and keen to raise awareness of the show across the world where it is not yet established or widely recognized.”

The move is part of Animaccord’s plan to diversify its business as an international licensing company.

"Cleo & Cuquin" follows the adventures of a boy named Cuquin and his older sister, Cleo, who help each other solve problems.
