Corus Entertainment's Nelvana has inked a deal with Scholastic for the worldwide English-language rights to its new series "Little Charmers."

As the master storybook licensee, Scholastic will launch a series of preschool books in the U.S. and Canada in spring 2016. Additional formats, including 8x8s, readers, board books, activity books and e-books, will follow throughout the rest of 2016.

The books will be available at retail as well as through Scholastic Book Clubs and Book Fairs.

Scholastic U.K. and Scholastic Australia/New Zealand will roll out the series in fall 2016.

"Scholastic has been charmed by 'Little Charmers,'" says Debra Dorfman, vice president, publisher, Scholastic. "We're thrilled to work with Nelvana to bring the magical, friendship-filled, humorous world of Charmville to life in our books. Hazel and her best friends Posie and Lavender are sure to win little girls' hearts everywhere."

"Little Charmers," which is produced by Nelvana and Spin Master, currently airs on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. in the U.S. and Treehouse in Canada.
