Penthouse Commissions Pet Portraits

Museum Masters International and Penthouse magazine have selected artist Sid Maurer to memorialize the Penthouse Pets in a series of paintings that will tour the world and be available for licensing.

Maurer will create 12 renditions of the most popular Penthouse Pets from the last five decades including Julie Strain, Kayden Kross and Krista Ayne.

The 12 original paintings will be part of a worldwide touring exhibition this year to celebrate Penthouse’s 50th anniversary, and the images will also be available for licensing in various territories throughout the world.

“Penthouse magazine has always been at the crossroads of art and sex,” says Kelly Holland, managing director, Penthouse. “[Penthouse founder] Bob Guccione was an artist at heart and the early photographs he took for Penthouse magazine showcased this true passion. It’s a perfect opportunity for our brand to continue to embrace the artistry in our images by collaborating with Sid Maurer on this iconic collection of paintings.”
