Kids Can Press, a Canadian children’s book publisher, announced an upcoming children’s book series based on the PBS Kids series “Elinor Wonders Why. In the fall, Kids Can Press will introduce the first two books in a graphic novel series based on episodes of the program, to be co-authored by the show’s co-creators, Jorge Cham and Daniel Whiteson: “Elinor Wonders Why: Hiding in Plain Sight” and “Elinor Wonders Why: Forest Giants.”
Two books will follow in the spring of 2023: “Elinor Wonders Why: Bugging Out” and “Elinor Wonders Why: How to Carry a Cupcake.”
“We instantly fell in love with Elinor and knew that the series concept was a perfect fit for us,” says Lisa Lyons Johnston, president, publisher, Kids Can Press. “With her curious nature and can-do attitude, Elinor and the cast of other equally inquisitive characters exemplify the importance of STEM learning in each episode, and the books will be a wonderful addition to the many award-winning science-based books for all ages that parents and teachers expect from Kids Can Press.”
