NORTH AMERICA–Time Inc., the publisher of Food & Wine magazine, has joined forces with The Culinary Institute of America to launch a series of educational food festivals, called Food & Wine Weekend with the CIA.

The three-day event will take place at the Culinary Institute of America at Copia in Napa, Calif . with a variety of programming and experiences aimed to educate and engage visitors. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on cooking sessions, create popular global street foods, learn about up-and-coming California wine regions and enjoy a dinner showcasing California’s natural food supply.

Additional events include the CIA Chef Best Brunch Battle, which will see chefs Sandy Sauter, Hilary Sullivan and Josh Anderson race to create their signature brunch dishes and beverages for attendees to enjoy, and the opening of Hestan Teaching Kitchen at the CIA at Copia, a new destination for food enthusiast and family cooking classes.

“The Food & Wine Weekend with the CIA brings together all of the elements that make for a compelling culinary educational experience: talented chefs and wine experts sharing their expertise in the state-of-the-art kitchen in one of our favorite places on earth,” says Hunter Lewis, editor-in-chief, Food & Wine. “We are thrilled to partner with the CIA on this dynamic event.”

The inaugural Food & Wine Weekend with the CIA will take place Feb. 16-18. There will also be two additional Food & Wine Weekends with the CIA on July 13-15 and Oct. 19-21.
