PetSmart Adds Toys 'R' Us Dog Toys

PetSmart will introduce a line of Toys 'R' Us Pets brand dog toys. The collection of over 100 products will launch next spring exclusively in the more than 1,100 PetSmart stores in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.

The toys will be made with mixed materials such as soft plush, rope, rubber, fleece and various sounding squeakers. Some toys will be treat-dispensing, adding a unique incentive for the dog when playing with the toy.

The new line follows last year's launch of Martha Stewart Pets and GNC Pets, both exclusive to PetSmart.

"Our pet parents consider their pets family, and in many cases, their pets are like children to them," says Matt McAdam, vice president of merchandising for PetSmart. "Adding Toys 'R' Us Pets to PetSmart stores enables us to bring our pet parents high quality, unique products for their dogs from two brands they trust when shopping for toys for their family."
