Warner Bros. Announces New ‘Wonka’ Merch

New collection of products will release in the weeks leading up to the new film.

Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) is unveiling a new collection of merchandise to celebrate the release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ big-screen holiday film, “Wonka,” arriving in theaters and in IMAX internationally Dec. 6  and in North America Dec. 15. Based on the character at the center of Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “Wonka” tells the story of how the world’s greatest inventor, magician and chocolate-maker became the Willy Wonka we know today. WBDGCP is celebrating the film with products from licensees, such as Converse (launching pre-orders), Fossil, Funko and more, while exclusive retail partner, Bloomingdale’s, will host “Wonka” window displays and has unveiled The Carousel @ Bloomingdale’s: Wonka, an online and in-store shop filled with fashion, accessories and home goods inspired by the famous chocolatier.

Bloomingdale’s will unveil its window display along Lexington Avenue at the 59th Street flagship in New York City, with a night of celebrations, philanthropy and must-see performances. Other licensed “Wonka” must-haves include apparel, home goods and accessories by Trumpette, Art Sugar, Christopher Radko, Hallmark, Happy Socks, and Junk Food Clothing.

Available from partners, Snapco and Golden Link, “Wonka”-themed drink tumblers and popcorn containers, will arrive in North America movie theaters, as early as Nov. 21.

Wonka x Converse is a limited-edition collection, which caters to all ages and pays homage to Willy Wonka by incorporating elements of the character’s world of imagination. It includes two Chuck 70 colorways – a premium leather "Chocolate Swirl” and a hairy suede “Oompa Loompa.” Converse’s classic Chuck Taylor All Star also arrives in two colorways, including a chocolate drip-toned “Swirl,” as well as a Willy Wonka outfit-inspired “Corduroy.” Metallic gold prints and co-branded Wonka x Converse details put an imaginative spin on the collection’s apparel. Accessories include a reversible bucket hat and a Go 2 backpack. The collection arrives Dec. 7 and is available to preview at Converse.com.

Fossil is introducing a collection of watches, leather goods and jewelry that pay homage to elements of the original film.

Eyewear designer, Tom Davies, will soon launch a Wonka-inspired frames with exotic features, including color-changing, glow-in-the dark and scented glasses. 

Hismile has created the first Wonka Chocolate Toothpaste, available online at Hismileteeth.com  beginning Dec. 12.

For the little ones, Copper Pearl has released a new collection of Wonka accessories, including baby bibs and quilts in baby and jumbo sizes.

Kellogg’s Willy Wonka Froot Loops Berry-licious Breakfast Cereal, is in U.S. stores, while across multiple markets in Europe and Canada, Ferrero released branded Kinder Surprise chocolate eggs featuring five Wonka-themed toys. Candy Can is offering new, limited-edition flavors  in Europe and Canada at select retailers.

Franco has a new throw for “Wonka” fans and will drop a new Wonka-inspired pattern next month. Hallmark will offer a new Golden Ticket Wonka Chocolate Bar ornament for the holidays.  Insight Editions has launched a journal designed to look like a wrapped Wonka bar, complete with a chocolate scent.

Funko’s range of “Wonka” POP! Figures includes Willy Wonka, Noodle, Slugworth and Prodnose, available for presale at Amazon.com and Funko’s web-exclusive Oompa Loompa is coming soon to Funko.com. 

Tickets for “Wonka” are on sale in the U.S. and Canada.
