The sleigh featured in the holiday film "Elf" will return to New York City in celebration of the film's 20th anniversary. Presented in partnership with On Location Tours, a TV and movie tour company that just launched The Elf Movie Sites Tour, the Elf Sleigh, complete with the Kringle 3000 Jet Engine and Clausometer, will be the spotlight of a two-hour event on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 12:30 p.m. in front of Bethesda Fountain in Central Park.
The photo-op will also include fun trivia questions posed by tour guides. On Location Tours will also be giving out free ticket vouchers to its Holiday Lights & Movie Sites Tour which runs through Jan. 2.
The Elf Movie Sites Tour includes a visit Bethesda Terrace, where Buddy and Santa escaped from the Central Park Rangers on Santa's sleigh with the magic of Christmas spirit; walk across the Pinebank Arch, the scene of the infamous snowball fight; stroll past the Empire State Building; see Macy's, Buddy's North Pole home-away-from-home and more. The tour is packed with behind-the-scenes secrets and filming trivia and is led by a local actor tour guide.
