The ‘Elf’ Sleigh Makes a Stop in NYC

The sleigh featured in the holiday film "Elf" will return to New York City in celebration of the film's 20th anniversary. Presented in partnership with On Location Tours, a TV and movie tour company that just launched The Elf Movie Sites Tour, the Elf Sleigh, complete with the Kringle 3000 Jet Engine and Clausometer, will be the spotlight of a two-hour event on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 12:30 p.m. in front of Bethesda Fountain in Central Park.  

The photo-op will also include fun trivia questions posed by tour guides. On Location Tours will also be giving out free ticket vouchers to its Holiday Lights & Movie Sites Tour which runs through Jan. 2.  

The Elf Movie Sites Tour includes a visit Bethesda Terrace, where Buddy and Santa escaped from the Central Park Rangers on Santa's sleigh with the magic of Christmas spirit; walk across the Pinebank Arch, the scene of the infamous snowball fight; stroll past the Empire State Building; see Macy's, Buddy's North Pole home-away-from-home and more. The tour is packed with behind-the-scenes secrets and filming trivia and is led by a local actor tour guide.
